Timing is crucial...

Wed Oct 7, 2009, 10:05 PM
Yes, it's a rather odd title for my 'first' journal here on dA but that doesn't make it any less relevant. It's been a long time since I last accessed my account here (bar this previous month's activity, hence the journal title and why I'm submitting it now) but it all ties into my new found motivation to start projects I've been planning for the last year and to also get off my butt and focus such motivation into something productive (ie. art). This was all sparked by some wonderfully relived nostalgia of past artists I've recently stalked and led me to feel the need to start up again myself. That and I've somewhat refined my style into something legible, unlike the copious amounts of self-deluded tripe I once spewed forth onto this community years ago.

Of course, for such an undramatic return to dA, I've developed some stepping stones or rules or signposts or guidelines or w/e you wish to call them in establishing my new gallery, and the most prominent factor and driving force behind them is the rather ludicrous goal of website publication. Now, I should say that I will not be alone in this endeavour, more so a co-contributor with another artistic friend of mine with similar ideals. We came to this solution-of-sorts during one of our many bumming around sessions and while yes, it's a tall order and while yes, it might not be recognised for a good while yet (if at all, arceus forbid), it's still a goal, and as long as it inspires me to pursue and develop as an artist, I'm all for striving towards it.

So in light of all this (or for those who thought tl;dr), I will be coming back to dA in full gear over the next few weeks with a newly acquired resolve and with a plethora of new, unadulterated, novelty and niche ideas to match. Further details regarding the specific rulings, project names and my partner in crime will most likely be peppered in future journals for those who are at all interested, concerned or extremely bored enough to read this.

To finish up on a more serious, yet sappy note: to all those who continued to watch me over the past three years (and still do today), I'd liked to thank you all for your unwavering support. It's as I've said countless times before, but your constant watching is greatly appreciated and further encouraged for the months and hopefully years to come.

And so, you may now resume your much more exciting lives until the next Phanima-filled update.
